    School Council

The School Council system at Bishop Ramsey is an important part of school life as it is the main way for the student body to ensure that their opinions are heard and taken seriously. The student councillors are proposed and elected by their peers to represent their views and raise issues with the Leadership Team and Governors. They are also involved in strategic planning and processes such as the School Development plan, governing body meetings and staff appointments. The School Council at Bishop Ramsey helps to:

    • acknowledge students as a vital resource
    • build students’ self-confidence and self esteem
    • create positive peer pressure and leadership
    • develop young citizens
    • enhance the school community.
