Parents
At Bishop Ramsey we work in partnership with parents/carers so that our students achieve the very best they can. A full school report is issued once a year with progress updates each term, this includes detailed comment on a child’s progress, interest in each subject, and response to school life in general. One Parents' Consultation Evening per year are held to enable parents/carers to discuss their child’s progress and set targets for the year. There are regular information evenings for parents/carers on the National Curriculum, work experience and other important aspects of education.
On entering the School all parents/carers and students are asked to sign the Home/School Agreement, which was devised jointly by the staff, governors and students.
Parents can find background information on every aspect of school life here on the School website as well as all relevant school policies.
We are particularly grateful for the Parents’ Prayer Group which meets in the Chapel twice each term.
The Friends of Bishop Ramsey (FBR) is a thriving and active association which arranges enjoyable events with opportunities to meet other parents/carers and friends of the School. Membership is open – without fee – to parents/carers of children at Bishop Ramsey. Voluntary contributions, offers of help and other enquiries are welcomed by members of the committee. The late Summer Event, raffles and social functions such as quiz nights, raise substantial funds. In the past few years, FBR has bought two minibuses for the School, purchased the chairs for the new Chapel, corridor display boards and supported our ICT development. FBR also manage students’ lockers on behalf of the School.
