Bishop Ramsey is a Music Mark School

On Friday 18th September Mrs Bowden, our Head of Music, announced the lovely news that the Hillingdon Music Hub had nominated Bishop Ramsey as a Music Mark School 2020/21.
Music Mark is a membership organisation, subject association and charity that advocates for excellent music education for all children and young people. Music hubs and services around the UK are able to nominate schools who they believe have shown a commitment to providing high quality music education. The Hillingdon Music Hub has recognised the value that Bishop Ramsey places on music and our dedication to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.
Music plays an integral role in the life of our school within worship, performances and lessons. The music curriculum at Bishop Ramsey allows pupils the opportunity to learn about new styles of music as well as music that interests them. The aim is that they will develop a love for a wide range of music and work together to perform a wide variety of music, once we are allowed to do so safely. Our Music Department staff are passionate about the importance of music both in lesson time and as part of the wider school and it is wonderful that this has been recognised by the Hillingdon Music Hub. We will continue to strive for the very best music education for our students.
Mrs Bowden says 'I am delighted with this achievement and hope it is the start of all the developments happening in the music department this year'
